The Bluebell Cafe & Country Store is the only store in the rural community of Story, Arkansas. Originally opened in the 1950’s, the store has become a staple of the community whose residents have depended on it for food, gas, and fellowship over the years. The business has changed hands several times and was most recently purchased by Lori Carley in 2009. Originally from Texas, Lori’s family vacationed in Arkansas, fell in love with the area, and ultimately decided to relocate.
In addition to providing hot meals in the cafe, beginning with breakfast at 4:30 am, the Bluebell Cafe also serves lunch and dinner as well as offering a Deli, Grocery and Convenience Store items, Hunting and Fishing Supplies, Licenses and Permits, Fax and Copy Services, Postal Services, Package Handling for Hikers and Trail Shuttle Services, the Bluebell Cafe hosts a free Live Music Jam Session on Saturday nights, and an annual community festival “Story Days”! Lori even delivers meals to some homebound customers in Story.
